In 2022, the national online retail sales reached 13,785.3 billion yuan, an increase of 4.0 percent over the previous year. Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods reached 11,964.2 billion yuan, up 6.2 percent, accounting for 27.2 percent of the total retail sales of social consumer goods; among the online retail sales of physical goods, food, clothing and consumer goods increased by 16.1, 3.5 and 5.7 percent respectively.
